How to install & configure memcached on Linux

Use following command to install it

# yum install memcached

Configure the memcached by modifying following files:

vim /etc/rc.d/init.d/memcached

vim /etc/sysconfig/memcached

Add port & user in above files

then restart memcached

/etc/init.d/memcached restart
